The Nordic Culture Fund is a central voice for Nordic art and culture on the global stage. Since its founding in 1966, the fund has worked with a clear belief: that art and culture can build the international networks that help us understand, connect and develop our societies. Each year, the fund awards approximately DKK 28 million to around 340 projects, supporting artistic development across the Nordic region and creating a flexible framework for new collaborations and cross-border initiatives.
Through a workshop with the Nordisk Kulturfond team, we identified challenges, strengths and opportunities in their existing website. This clarity shaped the vision for the new site and revealed that the identity also needed to evolve to support future communications.
Borderless
The team wanted to open up the definition of “Nordic” as a fluid, borderless idea. We expanded the former vertical graphic element into a flexible framework that integrates seamlessly across the fund’s communications.
Illustrative universe
Nordic Culture Fund needed a visual language to complement their written voice. Because their work often communicates without supporting imagery, we created an illustrative universe that blends natural and human-made forms into a light, flexible pattern. A rich colour palette adds depth and character to the brand.
Digital
For the fund’s website, we created an accessible and inviting experience that helps diverse stakeholders find the information they need quickly. The new site balances an inspiring visual expression with clear information architecture and in-depth content.
Flexible framework
Together with the development team, we built a flexible framework that enables the Fund to create editorial stories, highlight funding programs and showcase artists and cultural activities.
From insights to action
This toolkit helps professionals working with youth apply insights from brain and behavioral science in practice.
Developed with NGOs, practitioners, and researchers, it guides users through a four-step workshop—no training or facilitator needed.
